Line 9 Water Defenders – Final Court Date and Conference

WHO    Anishinaabe Land Defender Vanessa Gray, along with supporters Sarah Scanlon and Stone Stewart, will be hosting a press conference at their final court date.

WHAT    On December 21, 2015 the three took non-violent action against Enbridge’s Line 9 pipeline. All 3 are charged with Mischief Endangering Lives, Mischief over $5000.00, and Trespassing. Stone was also charged with Resisting Arrest. It is our responsibility to challenge Enbridge Line 9 and all pipelines endangering future generations on stolen Native land. With allies, Vanessa Gray acted to protect life on her territory. These acts cannot be criminalized. Exciting developments have taken place and the case will conclude this Friday.
